The Dalai Lama once famously declared that
"the world will be saved by the Western woman."
Well, I’m just going to come right out and say it.
It’s not just going to be western women.
I reckon if there’s any specific group on earth that’s
most likely to save the world - it’s women at midlife and beyond.
Why?
Because those women?
They’ve been through countless challenges and won.
They’ve walked through fire and emerged even stronger.
By midlife, women have survived things that should
have destroyed us and quite frankly, our embodied wisdom
and resilience cannot be matched.
But it’s a truth that society doesn't seem to want to acknowledge.
I believe that women at midlife (and beyond) have the
power to reimagine, revision, and reinvent EVERYTHING.
But whether it’s by ;
labelling 35+ mothers-to-be as “geriatric”,
bypassing women for roles they could do with her their closed
in favour of a younger person or simply the roving eye
of her partner in the general direction of twenty somethings,
the societal narrative constantly tells us ‘second spring’ ladies
that it’s time to get some cats,
don a momo and fade quietly into the background.
This practice isn't just about helping you
survive a personal crisis through walking,
regulating your nervous system
or processing grief
(although it will absolutely help you do all of those things).
It's actually about reclaiming the transformative power
that becomes available when a woman has:

For the record, I have been that ‘geriatric mother’.
In fact even worse, I’m the geriatric single mother!
And just to add insult to injury I’m also the geriatric, single mother and woman of colour (I’m half Filipino) who grew up with zero representation.
But whatever challenges may have presented themselves along the way due to all that (and trust me there’s more ),
I have chosen to rewrite the script that society wrote for me
and my hope is that I can inspire you to do the same.
Here's the story we're told continually about women in midlife and beyond:
We're fading, decaying, irrelevant, past our prime and invisible. Lovely right?
But here's the data that demolishes that narrative:
Women over 50 control net wealth of $19 trillion in America alone—more than three-fourths of the nation's financial wealth.
Women make 85% of consumer purchasing decisions across categories from automobiles to healthcare to technology.
Women over 50 account for 27% of all consumer spending—that's $15 trillion annually worldwide.Women are starting businesses at 1.5 times the rate of men, with the fastest growth among women over 40.
Women-led companies deliver more than twice the revenue per dollar invested compared to those led by men.
The data is clear: women at midlife and beyond aren't fading—we’re ascending to unprecedented economic power thank you very much!
And yet...Only 4.8% of Fortune 500 CEOs are women of any age.
Women-founded startups receive less than 3% of venture capital funding, with even less of that going to women over 40 (and it gets worse if you’re not white or are likely to find balancing childcare an issue).
Women over 40 face persistent workplace discrimination, with 61% reporting age discrimination in professional settings.
Media representation of midlife women remains disproportionately focused on appearance and "anti-aging" rather than accomplishment and impact.
And I have a feeling that this paradox—the simultaneous rise in economic power coupled with the persistent experience of cultural invisibility—isn't accidental. I think it’s by design.
Why?
Because a regulated, embodied, sovereign midlife woman who knows her worth is the single most transformative force on the planet. And any systems that are built on extraction, hierarchy, and domination cannot and will not survive her rise.

I need to share something deeply personal with you.
For years, I was the person behind messages and campaigns that generated millions in sales. I helped thousands move beyond their visibility fears. I was the voice coach who unlocked authentic expression for Brit Award winners and West End performers. I built multiple 6-figure businesses by fearlessly speaking my truth.
And then I disappeared.
After a traumatic divorce, the death of a dear friend, abuse, trauma, and navigating single motherhood during menopause, I couldn't put myself out there anymore. I went silent. I started hiding. I stopped sharing my message and speaking my truth.
